Hello all, welcome to OrgLearning2 Blog and webpage! This is our first post of 2019, and I decided to give a brief personal introduction and provide some information about how we support our clients. Over the past couple of years, our team has provided professional services Head Start Programs in California and Colorado, and I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself and why I decided to support the Head Start community! Our team has grown over the past couple of years, and it has been an excellent opportunity for me to learn new skills and add to my Project Management toolbox. For those unfamiliar with Head Start, in short, it is a government funded program distributing federal grant funding (awarded to successful applicants) to organizations distributing comprehensive services to low-income families with children from birth to 5. I started my career as a consultant in the Region VIII Office of Head Start, in Denver CO, where I often heard heart moving success stories and worked with compassionate education professionals seeking to improve the lives of those less fortunate.

As a Project Management Professional (PMP), I look for ways to improve the efficiency of an organization and make the work environment fun and productive for all stakeholders involved. For example, when managing Head Start projects, I want to engage with not only the Head Start program leadership and staff members, but the families as well! Listening and gaining knowledge from multiple perspectives is a valuable technique to gain buy-in from all affected stakeholders of a project. While attending Loyola Marymount University studying Business Finance and Law, almost all of my upper division courses focused on teamwork and various knowledge areas taught in project management (time management, schedule management, etc.).

Over the years, I have found these experiences in college definitely gave me the appropriate tools to succeed as a management consultant supporting the Office of Head Start, where I was awarded the Team and Performance Award for my work supporting clients and managing projects in the federal office. I am always looking for new opportunities to increase my capabilities, and as a consultant at OrgLearning2, I am looking forward to working on projects that assist vulnerable communities! Giving back to my communities has been a great personal and professional achievement, so I feel right at home at our small company. We often provide our clients with volunteer professional services (in-kind donations) so they know we are on the same team and always looking out for their Programs’ best interests. Thank you for checking out our opening blog, our team will be providing valuable insight from our various professional services, so stay connected and please reach out if you have any questions!
